Our products are water-based.

DURABAN® water-base means the only off-gas released upon surface bonding is H20 - no toxic gases, no VOCs, no heavy metals, no formaldehyde or phenol groups - just H20. This translates into a safe and clean, green mode of action.

Our products are non-leaching.

Unlike conventional antimicrobials that can leach toxic active ingredients into the surrounding environment,  DURABAN does not leach or dissipate, its active ingredient has the EPA's lowest toxicity rating. Once bonded to the surface,  DURABAN is there to stay. In addition, because  DURABAN has a benign mode of action and does not actively leach or poison microbes for its mode of action, there is no risk of adaptive microorganisms or "superbugs." In laboratory testing the  DURABAN antimicrobial has never been shown to allow or cause microbial adaption, resistance or mutation.
